Learners attending the icollege may have previously experienced difficulties with regular school attendance. They may have been ill or have not found going to school a pleasant or rewarding experience. Some learners will have been excluded for periods of time and others may have moved from school to school without ever establishing enjoyable contacts or a feeling of belonging to a specific school community.
Consequently, establishing a pattern of good, regular attendance is an important step towards improving the relationships, attainment and achievement of learners attending theicollege and is of prime importance in the provision of support which leads to well-being and academic success.
At the icollege, we believe that partnership is the key to establishing regular attendance, and within this partnership, all involved should work together for the learner to enjoy a rewarding, positive and worthwhile experience of education.
